Peak Peony Production at Green Works
It’s one of the busiest times of the year at Green Works: we are in peak peony production!
At the moment, everything comes together. While our teams are harvesting peony plants from our fields, processing and preparing them for shipment, we are also planting for future seasons and exporting orders to growers around the world. It’s a busy operation, with many different processes happening at the same time.
Grown by us in the Netherlands
Quality starts in our own fields. At Green Works, we grow our peony plants ourselves in the Netherlands. This gives us control over the entire production process, from planting and growing to harvesting, processing and preparing the plants for our customers.
Before shipment, our peonies can also be treated with Green Works Care™, our own treatment developed specifically for peonies. The treatment provides preventive protection against root-knot and foliar nematodes without the use of chemical products. Unlike traditional hot-water treatment, the plants do not dry out during the process. Our trials have also shown much stronger first-year growth and increased flower production per plant in the second year.
