Peony

Green Works offers an extensive range of peonies suitable for both pot and cut flower production. In addition to our standard range, we offer a selection of special Paeonia varieties. These varieties are supplied from our own production fields, where the plants are grown exclusively for planting material and no flowers are harvested.

We also provide support and advice on peony care and cultivation. Our peony newsletter, usually published monthly, keeps you up to date with the latest news and provides useful growing tips. In addition, we offer our customers a range of marketing materials, including high-resolution images of almost all our varieties and promotional leaflets.

Paeonia itoh

Itoh peonies are the result of a cross between Paeonia lactiflora (the common peony) and Paeonia suffruticosa (the tree peony). Below ground, the plant grows like a traditional peony, making it easy to divide, while above ground it has the characteristics of a tree peony. This combination makes the Itoh peony an exceptional garden plant with outstanding ornamental value.

Paeonia Itoh has a beautiful growth habit and produces large, colourful flowers. Once established, Itoh peonies can produce fifty or more flowers per plant, which is not uncommon. Even after flowering, the plants retain their ornamental appeal.
